How it Started
since 2012
The JuCan Foundation Annual Toy Drive is patterned after 8 yr old Julia Cobb’s own heart. It began in 2012 when she hand-delivered toys that she collected and shopped for during her treatment for bone cancer. Ju wanted every child to have a great Christmas and experience the magic of toys under the tree. What started as just a small toy collections of toys in 2012, has grown to JuCan, and its partners collecting over 200,000+ toys in Greater Houston over 10 years. Please help carry on Julia Cobb’s legacy of giving to make our 11th year a giant success for families in cancer treatment. SHARE THE HOPE OF CHRISTMAS
Who it Benefits
Kids & Families in Cancer Treatment
The toy drive benefits the MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital (Santa’s Workshop) & The MD Anderson Proton Therapy Center in Houston, Texas.
In addition to the toy drive, JuCan, through its generous partners, adopts families in cancer treatment each year in cancer treatment. Families are nominated to our foundation through hospitals and other local organizations. JuCan works to connect these families with a sponsor. Please complete the online application if you are interested in sponsoring a family or donating an “In-Kind” gift.
How You Can Help
Your business, church, school, or organization can become a Team JuCan partner by becoming a collection center or by adopting one of our many JuCan Families for Christmas. Use your creativity to "build your own collection box" and place in a high traffic area of your business. We will send you the flyer to place on the box and make arrangements to pick-up the toys by December 18th. Click on the "Sponsor Application" link below to get started.
You can also donate online and designate your gift to the “2023 Toy Drive.” 100% of the proceeds go towards the toy drive and/or purchasing gifts for families in cancer treatment.
