Thank you for remembering & celebrating what would have been Julia’s 12th #StPatricksDay Birthday. Often times, our family is asked, “how do you manage the grief?” It is a road we walk everyday, and it is especially difficult on birthdays and holidays. However, walk we must. And you CAN too!
One of the myriad of ways we cope is through you. Seeing friends wear Juila’s shirts, mentioning her name, tagging us in a pic, making a donation to her foundation, or sharing a story about her (even if it is the same story), means the world to our family. Our spirits are lifted, even if but for a moment. And it is in that moment, that we are reminded to, “have courage and be kind,” for there are others who must be given the same reminder. We still walk in hope that one day no child will die from cancer. Until then, we walk in love, and in the hope that God CAN carry us through whatever we might face.
Thank you for sharing in our past, in our present, and in our future endeavors through Julia’s foundation in Houston and beyond. Julia was a giver, and we are now her hands. There is Irish blood on the Cobb side of the family, so we are pretty sure that Irish eyes are smiling down on us from heaven tonight, and for a moment, we are encouraged….

Team #JuCan would like to recognize and honor AutoNation Chevrolet Gulf Freeway in Houston, Texas for their outstanding care & support of the JuCan Foundation. On numerous occasions they have donated parts & labor to keep the “JuBurban” on the road. Whether we were delivering toys to families for Christmas, walking across America, visiting families in the Texas Medical Center, or simply on our way to the next JuCan event, you have helped to get us there!
Thanks Allen, Eddie, & the entire team at Auto Nation Chevrolet in Houston (Gulf Freeway) for helping us to help families in the cancer fight. We could not do what we do without your help!

JuCan – Alabama Chapter
Thank you, JuCan Foundation Alabama/Birmingham Chapter for showing ❤️ to the Eaton Family this Christmas! Angel Eaton battled #EwingsSarcoma bone cancer and passed away on September 18, 2016. This young lady was passionate about Jesus, her mama and her new baby sister, Autumn! She felt blessed to be well enough to welcome Autumn into this world and they got to bond and spend months together laughing and playing like 2 sisters should. They lived life in “fast forward” as Angel’s time was short and she couldn’t stay long.
Angel was eager to head off to college this past Fall and start her career path toward cosmetology and theatrical make up artistry. She never got to fulfill that dream due to a relapse in her health, but we prefer to envision Angel painting the heavenly sky with the largest, puffiest brushes and the most beautiful water colors!
The Cobb Family had followed Angel for a few years during her battle and we took a detour to meet up with she and her mom, Kim, when we were on our 4,000 mile #WalkAcrossAmerica for Pediatric Cancer Awareness in May 2015. Angel, her mom and Angel’s fellow cancer warrior friend, Kelsey Honeycutt ate dinner with Team JuCan and we celebrated cancer victories and great health over Japanese Hibachi steaks.
Boy what a year can bring….
As part of the JuCanFoundation.org mission, we not only help families during their battle with CANcer, but we also aid in the aftermath! This Christmas was a first for the Eaton family without Angel and nothing we can do would bring her back. But, we didn’t want Kim and her sweet baby Autumn to go without. As a tribute to Angel, the O’Donnell Family (Jeff, Stefanie, Tara (our Ju’s BFF), and Kayla) brought gifts and a large donation to be used toward the many outstanding expenses that Kim has as a single mom.
If you would like to help with donating toward a grave marker for Angel, please designate “Angel Eaton” with your gift to JuCanFoundation.org/donate. We hope to be able to help lay Angel to rest and make her memory as beautiful as she was. #JuCan #JuDid #AngelDid #KimCan #UCanMakeADifference #GodCan #AngelsAmongUs #JuCanAlabama
