New JuCan Office

New JuCan Office

We are proud to announce a new home office location for the JuCan Foundation. Our new office is located in the Clear Lake, Bay Area, Webster area(s) of Texas. This beautiful complex is home to Vinyl Draught Radio and The Kelly Williams Show to name just a couple. JuCan has been growing and we believe this move will promote additional growth, and most importantly, help us more effectively meet the needs of families fighting cancer in Houston.

We will be sharing office space with the Miss Houston and Miss Houston Teen Pageant and Miss Kemah Pageant / Miss Kemah Teen Pageant In addition to the office space, there are conference rooms that will afford us the ability to host cancer support groups and to also coordinate many of our seasonal events. If you would like to volunteer or be involved with JuCan, please contact Jennifer Cobb at 888-995-8226.

Thanks for your continued financial support of the Julia Cobb – JuCan Foundation. Your generosity allows us to make a greater impact in helping families fighting cancer. Many of you have committed to support on a monthly basis, and we are so grateful. It MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

You can donate online at www.JuCanFoundation.org/donate or you can mail your tax deductible gift to our NEW OFFICE at:

Not So Hidden Mickey

Not So Hidden Mickey

Thank you to the staff, and members of Bellevue Baptist Church of Nashville of Nashville for hosting the Cobb Family & #JuCanFoundation this weekend! It was an honor to share the #JuliaCobb journey through #EwingsSarcoma and to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of our 4,000 mile #WalkAcrossAmerica for #ChildhoodCancerAwareness. We met many new friends and partners.

The Cobb kids shared many stats about childhood cancer. Their voices still remain the strongest help in educating the public on the paltry 3.8% funding for childhood cancer research. We remain diligent in our cause to be a hopeful (but loud) voice of change.

As many of you know, Julia LOVED Mickey Mouse!! The pic (bottom right) was taken at Give Kids the World when we arrived for her Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World in 2013. We had another “not so hidden Mickey” moment last night. We call this a “Ju Wink.” A woman we had never met and who had also never heard our story, walked up to us and said, “I’m not sure why, but God told me to give Jaxi this Mickey Mouse that I’ve had for 27 years……..” ❤️

When Irish Eyes Are Smiling – Julia Cobb BoardWALK for Childhood Cancer

When Irish Eyes Are Smiling – Julia Cobb BoardWALK for Childhood Cancer

Thank you for remembering & celebrating what would have been Julia’s 12th #StPatricksDay Birthday. Often times, our family is asked, “how do you manage the grief?” It is a road we walk everyday, and it is especially difficult on birthdays and holidays. However, walk we must. And you CAN too!

One of the myriad of ways we cope is through you. Seeing friends wear Juila’s shirts, mentioning her name, tagging us in a pic, making a donation to her foundation, or sharing a story about her (even if it is the same story), means the world to our family. Our spirits are lifted, even if but for a moment. And it is in that moment, that we are reminded to, “have courage and be kind,” for there are others who must be given the same reminder. We still walk in hope that one day no child will die from cancer. Until then, we walk in love, and in the hope that God CAN carry us through whatever we might face.

Thank you for sharing in our past, in our present, and in our future endeavors through Julia’s foundation in Houston and beyond. Julia was a giver, and we are now her hands. There is Irish blood on the Cobb side of the family, so we are pretty sure that Irish eyes are smiling down on us from heaven tonight, and for a moment, we are encouraged….
